Books do furnish a room, (from the novel by Anthony Powell) and speak inside to the bits of us that long for significance and adventure, which is why during the publishing process, the devil is in the detail. I am working on the last chapter, again. We do need to get it right but, hopefully, it’s nearly ready for a last read through.

I’m glad I have another couple of projects on the go because I find this bit quite sad. You invest so much of yourself in the characters and their stories, particularly as I thought it might be the last in the series … We’re also getting closer to a proper title. Will let you know as soon as we are satisfied we have the right one. And I’m glad I’m an author, for my two favourite past-times are reading and drinking wine! France works on so many levels!
