Really taken with this Corkscrew Hazel. Love the gnarled and curly branches, the multiple trunks twined one around the other. Don’t normally like them but this one has had space to grow as it likes – the uneven corkscrew branches hovering above the grass, as if to tickle the ground. Over the last couple of days I have found myself drawn back to it. There is an obvious metaphor/parallel to us/me and who we are/I am.

Do I get the straighteners out or embrace the untidy curls?
