13th June We’re not on our way to France!

We’ve booked 4 days in Colchester in August! Got ridiculously excited about being somewhere else, if only for 4 days. Hope we’ll be able to go and counting blessings that we are able to do this. So many folk are up against job losses, worries about rent and mortgages, let alone catching the virus.

The gardening metaphor this week is that I am spending a lot of time propping up plants. What’s the point of a bloom if it is leaning down and not visible! There are some simply beautiful peonies that have all got stakes! The point being that I have definitely felt in need of propping up this week. The joy is that there are people in my life who are willing to do this for me. I’m not brilliant at friendship, I over analyse, over worry, get inside people’s heads where I have no business being, but it’s so good to be listened to. Really good! And a good stake is not one that keeps the plant rigid, but gives it a bit of leeway! Don’t worry I’m not taking this any further.

Oh and no definites, only a maybe but the second book is going off to the publisher next week!
