I thought I’d do a weekly blog but Devizes COVID19 is taking up a lot of time. I thought I’d get on with editing the next book but I am strangely reluctant to do so, because, and I’ve been thinking about this a lot, that editing is a reward. Writing is still the thing I do when all my other necessary chores are done! So if my book, my temperature gauge, my measure sells then I am allowed to pursue this crazy idea of being a a writer. If it doesn’t, then I am not permitted to put pen to paper.

When, oh when, will we shed the shadow of our childhood rules? When, oh when will we embrace who we are, rather than what we think we ought to be? I will not be defined by my book sales, or how many people have visited the web site. I will not be defined by how many people are reached by the Facebook page.

So guess what I am doing today? !
