Saturday 18th September 21

So I’m 60, been married for 37 years and its a gorgeous sunny Saturday. Saturday, unless you work shifts, is a day of possibilities. I love waking up in the morning with the day stretching ahead of me. Like the first morning of a holiday. It’s all to do. The beginnings of a new project, a new book, the idea of a new story or a new character. You haven’t yet got bogged down in the mundane every day, the sun is still shining, the possibilities are endless. And I’m going to stop there. I just deleted the paragraph about the realities of real life and how crappy that can be.

To get the best of something, the day, the book, the adventure, you actually have to get on with the day, the book, the adventure. So that’s what I’m going to do. I’m going to savour the possibilities and then I’m going to get up.

NEW BOOK: OUT 12TH AUGUST
David and Abigail's story as told by her handmaidens.
Radiant
In this compelling account of Abigail and David’s romance, author Kirsty A. Wilmott provides an in-depth look at the life and struggles of her characters. Surrounded by handmaidens, Abigail is both instigator of her destiny as well as victim of her circumstances – a woman who understands what is needed for her and her family to survive – and who fearlessly acts to protect them. Those closest to Abigail tell the heartachingly beautiful story of two lovers struggling under the pressures of a kingdom not yet established and the ensuing political pragmatism that ultimately tears them apart.
