These are the cloisters at Iona Abbey, on the Isle of Iona! The carvings were done by a gentleman who came up for a few weeks at a time over many years, giving that time and expertise for free. There are flowers, birds, and some beautiful depictions of the communion. We spent quite a lot of time simply walking around and around them. I love the idea that this beautiful offering took so long to complete. As with all things, nothing is impossible if we break it down into small enough chunks. And the end result is, in this case, breathtaking.
Book editing is just about done. Will be sending it back to the publisher on Monday. Still no title.
