Sorry for silence, it’s been a busy few weeks but now I am in that sweet spot where most of the work is done. Rehearsals are under way for the Crib Service, so I know what’s what and who is who, presents are wrapped and cards sent. Tomorrow is bed making – it has to be done! I am also revamping the star from lasts years play and filling bags with crowns and halos, while watching terrible Christmas films and lots and lots of Poirot. It’s wonderful.
I’m hoping there will be some good news in January about a new book. Nothing definite yet, but I will of course keep you informed. It’s been quite a difficult year but change is happening all around. And there is nothing like working with a bunch of youngsters to cheer you up. It’s only a Crib service. We only have 4 rehearsals. I don’t expect anyone to learn their lines, I just want them to enjoy themselves. The congregation tend to join in whatever is happening, for which I am grateful. That alone tells these young people that they have done a good job, that they are making a difference. They certainly are to me.
So I hope and pray you have a lovely Christmas, and for those who are struggling, moments of beauty and joy to be treasured.
