Tis time to get a blogging again. There is much going on, but the main thing is I am working. Hurrah, I am actually working on a book – On The Way to Goldmeadow. It’s been on the cards for a while, and I have no idea what finally got me back to my desk. It might have been blind panic, as we’re heading down to Cornwall for two whole weeks and I didn’t have anything to work on, while staring, creatively, at the view. I think you’ll love Marcy, my new leading lady. You know that my heroine’s are not usually competent or beautiful, though I accept Abigail in Radiant is an exception. I didn’t have a lot of choice with her as she is described as beautiful and intelligent, the latter epithet not used many times in the Bible to describe a woman. That description alone was enough of a springboard to jump from and of course, I had free reign with the five serving women.
I am passionate about seeing the ordinary as extraordinary. To allow the kindness of others to highlight ,the gold within each of us. I have had an ordinary life, but I do have an extraordinary relationship with God. I have had an ordinary life filled with extraordinary moments, and extraordinary people. People who mean the world to me, people who listen, who question, who challenge.
Marcy is squashed and bruised, until she meets a pale, pastel-coloured young man, who seems to see her. He drives a flamingo-pink car and helps Marcy negotiate some frightening moments with kindness and understanding. It’s a beginning! Now, if you could all go out and buy a copy of Radiant, that would be really helpful too!
