Saturday 4th December 21 – By the Sea

We have arrived in Looe to sort Christmas. I’ll send out the view on Instagram because it’s so wonderful. We nearly burnt the clutch out getting up to the cottage. It’s always been a bit hairy but this time we got stuck on the bend when the wheels started to spin and smoke started to pour from under the bonnet. Very quickly three lovely locals appeared to help us, guiding Mike back and helping him work out how to drive up the very steep and bendy lane. They’d already been out to help someone else earlier! Anyway to get over such trauma we are now having to drink something large and sparkly.

More importantly the new reading is available. This one is better and introduces Laurence, a young man from Exeter. He actually turned into one of my favourite characters. I grew very fond of him in the end. So I hope you enjoy meeting him too.

NEW BOOK: OUT 12TH AUGUST
David and Abigail's story as told by her handmaidens.
Radiant
In this compelling account of Abigail and David’s romance, author Kirsty A. Wilmott provides an in-depth look at the life and struggles of her characters. Surrounded by handmaidens, Abigail is both instigator of her destiny as well as victim of her circumstances – a woman who understands what is needed for her and her family to survive – and who fearlessly acts to protect them. Those closest to Abigail tell the heartachingly beautiful story of two lovers struggling under the pressures of a kingdom not yet established and the ensuing political pragmatism that ultimately tears them apart.
